Thermoweed was formed by Richard Pearson in August 2000 as part of Pearson Enterprises Ltd, after having gained considerable experience in the use of LPG burners in crop desiccation. The company formed a joint venture with LS Systems of Preston to market Hoaf products throughout the United Kingdom.

Hoaf are Europe's market leaders in Infrared burner technology and have over 30 years experience in the use of heat for weed control. The use of burners for weed control is common place in many cities throughout Northern Europe where herbicide use is prohibited.

Thermoweed work with Calor, the UK's leading Supplier of gas with over 65 years experience in supplying customers.

Our aim is to give an environmentally sound and economically viable alternative to the use of chemicals for weed control.
